When I got this photo….

and a request to see the castle made from newspaper yarn as a first wedding anniversary (paper) gift, I didn’t really think it was possible.  I haven’t made anything quite this complex from newspaper yarn before! The couple it was for obviously felt the castle was very special to them and as it was a paper wedding anniversary, I wanted to give them their castle made from paper….and so I accepted the challenge!

Here is my interpretation of a lovely hillside german castle spun from newspaper! The colours were all sourced from the newspaper itself (adverts and banners).  I am told they are happy with the results, which is the whole point of making things for an occasion as personal and as special as a first wedding anniversary so am happy to announce that the challenge has been completed :)
