Striving to turn bad news into good news is what all of us do all around the world on a daily basis. I am inspired by those that pick apart news stories and try to disentangle the facts from opinion - there are too many to mention but Ben Goldacre and NHS Choices “Behind the Headlines” do a good job for health and medicine stories.
